Ο επίσημος Ηρακλής από τη στιγμή της δήλωσης συμμετοχής στο Champions League είχε ανακοινώσει την πρόθεσή του να έχει – ούτως ή άλλως – συνέχεια στις ευρωπαϊκές υποχρεώσεις του, συνεχίζοντας στο Europe Cup, όμως – πλέον – αυτή του η βούληση επικυρώθηκε.
Η σχετική κοινοποίηση της FIBA για το “κλείδωμα” θέσης από τους “κυανόλευκους” και στη δεύτερη ευρωπαϊκή διοργάνωση:

One of the marked clubs will definitely qualify for the Basketball Champions League Regular Season as they are in the same side of the Qualifiers bracket. Should any other club with FIBA Europe Cup opt-in qualify for the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, the spot in the FIBA Europe Cup group will remain empty and the group will become a group of three teams.
The draw for the 2020-21 FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season will take place in Munich, Germany on Tuesday, August 18.
